After a packed couple of years delivering more than 600 talks all over the world, I continue my “Zoom around the globe” tour in 2024. UK, S. Africa, New Zealand and Canada all feature - Zoom really is making the world a smaller place! I’m booking talks into 2025 now…
An 6 minute extract from one of my Lightroom Editing sessions showing how I did a mono edit to a colour RAW file of a Dublin scene.
Details of all my talks can be found by clicking on any of the thumbnails below, and I’d be glad to discuss delivery of any of them to your club any time. Most of them run about 2 hours, with a 10 minute break half-way through.
Each of my sessions is only £100 (or equivalent in local currency) with an edited video of the session available a day or two afterwards for an additional £25 - this can be great for re-watching the session and not having to take notes - especially for the Lightroom sessions!
I also offer 1-1 tuition on Lightroom via Zoom - great for getting organised, sorting out your backup regime or just learning how to better edit your images - check out the page here for more details.

The two Lightroom creating panels workshops for DIG SE in March attracted 300 & 400+ participants! They’ve even given me my own page - https://rps.org/regions/south-east/jh-workshops/ and the new series “Lightroom step by step” is selling out and has already was re-booked for a second run in 2023 with more in 2024!

Does it have to be Zoom?
No! I have a full licence for Zoom, and it’s my preferred platform but I’m happy to use any other delivery platform depending on your needs - I’ve delivered talks on MS Teams, Webex, Google, so whatever works. And you can host or I can - whatever works best for you.
Can you help out at short notice?

PhotoShop Training Day
A full day of training in Adobe Photoshop, delivered by photographer and one of Irelands very few Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Certified Experts - Joe Houghton.
This 2 session day starts with introducing some basic PhotoShop tools and techniques - aimed specifically at the club photographer who is also probably using Lightroom. The topics covered during the sessions are outlined below, and will be explored using Joe’s own images as examples.

NOTE - This talk is not under IPF rates. We will typically run this for between 10 and 20 participants paying €20 each per session or €40 for the full day.
Lightroom Training Day
A full day of training in Adobe Lightroom, delivered by photographer and one of Irelands very few Adobe Certified Experts - Joe Houghton.
This 2 session experience takes you through the basics of the Lightroom catalogue and how to organise and find your images, and then into the Develop module where the real magic happens. Editing using the global adjustment tools and then in the afternoon, the localised tools shows how this powerful but easy to use programme can make your images pop and have you getting winners at club and in competition on a regular basis.
BONUS - All participants will receive a videoed copy of the talk so they don’t have to take notes during the session, but can revisit the material in their own time at a later date on their own computer. This will typically be over 4 hours of video training which can be downloaded and played at home.
